Mobile phones and hearing aids - FAQs

Can I get a kit so I can listen to my mobile phone with my hearing aids?

My work have supplied me with a Blackberry 7230 Enterprise, one of these all singing phones which allows me to connect to my office Microsoft outlook for working on the move. However, I am classed as profoundly deaf and wear 2 Siemans Prisma 2 D SP hearing aids which allow me to function as well as can be expected in my life and job. To allow full use of the Blackberry I am hoping that there is a connector that will allow the T Link system to work. I have tried it previously with a Nokia phone and it was excellent. I know that the blackberry does not have the holes corresponding to the Nokia I had before. In fact it appears to only have a USB style port connection into it. I am told there is a conventional hands free kit available for this model therefore I hope a suitable connector exists for my T Link. Unfortunately, the nature of my job means the Blackberry is now essential and cost dictates that 2 phones are not possible really. I would therefore appreciate your knowledge of the current status of T Link with Blackberry units.

Thanking you in anticipation of a reply at your earliest convenience and living in hope that the response will be positive.
