My daughter of 20 wears a hearing aid and she told me last week she had run out of batteries!  On searching I found your site and placed an order, I telephoned to see whether the items were in stock and spoke to a very helpful lady and lo and behold the batteries were delivered the next day.  As well as excellent customer service the price was very good as well.

Dear David,
My boyfriend and I had been considering buying the smart link plus for a few months, but were nervous because it is a considerable investment. We rang your helpline and received extensive advice from Richard, your sales manager. He was very helpful in advising us exactly what we would need to buy, what would be compatible with Steven's hearing aids and what we would need to ask the audiologist to do. We felt very well-informed and confident about what we were about to do.
Once we had bought the equipment we had some difficulty in getting it to work. As Steven is blind and we live some distance apart, it made it rather a challenge! However, after several very helpful phonecalls with an extremely patient man called John, we have sorted out the problem, and everything is working. We think it will make a real difference to Steven in the situations that are most challenging for his hearing, and we especially look forward to using it at my sister's wedding this month.
We are so grateful for all the excellent and comprehensive pre and post purchase support that we received. It is not common these days. You should be very proud of the service that you provide and the team that provide it. I hope you will pass on our sincere thanks to John and Richard.

Hello Richard.    Coincidentally, the MyLink unit I ordered from Connevans arrived today and I have just finished experimenting.  The unit works fine with my SmartLink unit and to the great relief of my wife, I have just
turned off the sub-titles setting on the TV!     It's like the difference between night and day.   I am using the SmartLink plugged into the headphone socket on the TV and I found out how to use this socket without suppressing the normal audio output.   So, I can now listen through the SmartLink/MyLink/T-coil system and my wife just listens to the normal audio output.   And I hear every word as clear as a bell.

Also, my neighbour has just called in.   She speaks very quietly and, normally, I only get about 10% of what she says even if we are only a metre or so apart and she's the only person speaking.   So, a conversation with her is very difficult.   I rigged her up with the SmartLink and, boy oh boy, she came in crystal clear and actually too loud.    I had to turn down the volume on the MyLink!

Next: my wife and I will go walking and try it out on a trail, plus in a car, but, right now, I'm "chuffed to bits", as they say.   The only thing left is to find out if my Oticon Spirit 3s have an MT setting so that I can listen to the audio from the TV through the T-coil but still hear my wife when she speaks to me.   If the aids do have an MT setting, I will ask my audiologist to set it up.

I cannot thank you, and Robert, enough for the invaluable advice you've both given me.   It's a refreshing change to come across a company that truly cares about its potential customers and that offers excellent and professional advice.    Many thanks and feel free to use parts of this unsolicited e-mail in either your customer testimonials or newsletter or wherever you feel fit.    You've done a great job and dramatically changed my life for the better.

Dear Sir,

In April 1963 I was appointed Technician at East Warwickshire College in Rugby.  I was appointed to oversee the installation of a new Connevans Language Lab.  This must have been one of the first labs you produced and I must say very successful.  The installation was moved on a number of occasions within the college and still going strong until it was replaced in 1985.

The person who appointed me was a Mr Jim Foster, now in his 80's who is now very deaf and he is still very active.  He was recently looking for aids for his hearing and the hospital gave him your catalogue.  I was amazed that your company is still going strong and it was the first time I and him had heard the name Connevans in more than 30 years.

It was such a 'blast from the past' just had to let you know and pleased that Connevans has survived the all the economic ups and downs over the years.

Thank you so much for a great day with you all. 

I know it was especially helpful to our new worker Paul, who got a lot out of the time, and the rest of us brushed up on the new stuff which was really useful.  It was also good to put faces to names and the note boards in the goodie packs have come in really handy.

I have a policy which is to learn something new every day and the one thing I will NEVER forget were the sandwiches – egg and marmite and the peanut butter one – FAB J  That supplier must have an unlimited imagination.

(You could always try lemon curd and Branston pickle – it was my daughter’s favourite all through junior school, and no, I don’t know how she ate them either! )
