Typical 02 v 03 use

Roger type 02 receivers would typically be used in education where a number of students with radio aids work together. 

Roger type 03 receivers would typically be used by independent students or adults.

 

The differences between 02 & 03 receivers:-

Size & look

Roger type 03 and type 02 receivers are the same size and look the same. They are all labelled with an (02) or (03). The same applies to all the various types of Roger receivers i.e. Roger X, Roger integrated & Roger MyLink

 

Range & quality

Roger type 02 and type 03 receivers both have exactly the same range and sound quality.

 

Roger Focus

A Roger Focus is an 02 type receiver and can be used with any Roger transmitter (because any Roger 02 receiver can be used with any transmitter).

Phonak Roger Soundfield

The Phonak Roger Soundfield system is used with either a Roger Touchscreen Mic or Roger inspiro (plus Roger Pass-around mics if included in the system) so the same hearing aid Roger receiver rules apply.

Roger BaseStation

The Roger BaseStation can only be used with 02 receivers with no limit to the number of receivers.

 

Roger Repeater

The Roger Repeater can be used with the Roger Touchscreen or the Roger BaseStation transmitters, which work with 02 receivers.

 

Roger Multmedia Hub

The Roger Multmedia Hub can be used with the Roger Touchscreen or the Roger BaseStation transmitters, which work with 02 receivers.

 

Transmitter use summary

Roger Touchscreen Mic, Roger Basestation, Roger Repeater & Roger inspiro transmitters can only be used with 02 receivers with no limit to the number of receivers.

Roger Table Mic and Table Mic II can be used with 02 & 03 receivers with no limit to the number of receivers.

Roger Pen & Roger EasyPen transmitters can be used with 02 & 03 receivers with is no limit to the number.

Roger Clip-On Mic transmitters can be used with any number of Roger (02) receivers or with a max of two Roger (03) & one Roger MyLink (03) receivers.

 

Transmitter network compatibility

Roger transmitters fall into two groups - a) 'Education' and b) 'Home & work'

a) Roger Touchscreen Mic, Roger inspiro & Roger Pass-around Mic will all work together in a group - with the proviso that the Roger Pass-around Mic cannot be used on its own. A maximum of 35 mixed transmitters can work together in this group.

b) Roger Table Mic, Roger Select, Roger Pen, Roger Easy Pen & Roger Clip-On Mic transmitters all work together in a group. A maximum of 10 mixed transmitters can work together in this group.

Just to clarify ... no a) Roger transmitter will work with a b) Roger transmiiter
